NH Passive House

This project is a 3,400 square foot custom single-family home, designed and built to passive house standards, which are more stringent than those required to obtain LEED certification. This home is eco-friendly and has incredible energy efficiency. It’s energy-saving features include:  double-stud super insulated walls, triple-glazed windows and doors, solar power, and geothermal heating and cooling.

Brookline Residence

This new construction home was designed to integrate effortlessly into a historic residential neighborhood. Transom windows throughout the house take advantage of the natural light and surrounding lands‍‍‍cape. Traditional elements such as the crown moulding, wainscotting, and wall paneling blend harmoniously with the transitional furniture and marble countertops throughout. The unique butcher block island, custom cabinetry, and hardwood floors give this kitchen a classic timeless feel while delivering all the modern amenities expected in today’s homes.

Cambridge Two-Family

This design build project entailed a custom renovation of a two family home in Cambridge. While updating the house with all new kitchens, bathrooms, electrical systems, heating systems and finishes, it was important to the owners that as much of the original feel of the house remain. As designers and builders on this project, Haycon had the ability to move quickly and finish the job within four months.‍‍‍

Contemporary Single

Contemporary Single Family

This unique free standing home was a collaboration between Haycon and the owner architect. Located on what was once a vacant lot, this new construction home represents what can be achieved when designers and builders come together on a design. Unique materials such as a ceramic rain screen and inventive applications of traditional siding give this house its one of a kind look. The highlighted interior structural framing, exposed ceilings, and signature staircase detail offset other distinctive features in this home. Haycon oversaw all aspects of this new construction, from the excavation to installing the interior finishes‍‍‍.

Fenway Condominium

This condominium in Boston’s famous Fenway neighborhood required a full renovation of the kitchen and bat‍‍‍hroom. Working with the designer to maximize space was focus of this project. Exchanging the spiral staircase for a custom ladder to the roof was just one of the space saving features in this design. Custom millwork and high end finishes help make this modest space seem spacious and airy.

Harvard Square Single Family

This single family design build project entailed a custom renovation of a kitchen and bathroom in Cambridge. While updating the modernizing the kitchen and bathroom, it was important to the owners to stay on budget and time. As designers and builders on this project, Haycon had the ability to move quickly and finish the job within three months.

South End Brownstone Renovation

This historic four story home was outdated before the architectural and construction team got to work. A steel frame addition to the rear greatly expanded the living space, as well as allowed for two decks to be added to each of the residential units. Traditional elements such as the crown moulding and existing fireplaces blend harmoniously with the transitional furniture and marble countertops throughout. The custom cabinetry and fixtures were specified to both owners’ wishes, which gives each home a custom feel. Two rental units finish out the basement and half of the first floor, encompassing four units in total.

South End Condominium

This South End condominium project required a complete overhall. After gutting the entire space back to the studs, we updated the electrical, plumbing, and HVAC system. As part of the design, all finishes, kitchen and bath cabinetry, appliances and fixtures were included in the scope of work making this a true design-build project.

South End Custom Bar

This South End residence was looking to create a one of a kind look in a small room adjacent to their formal living room. By contrasting traditional crown moulding with contemporary shelving and c‍‍‍abinetry, the owner was able to updated their wet bar without sacrificing the homes traditional look. Haycon worked closely with the owners to deliver the functionality and style they were looking for.

South End Single-Family

This South End single family project was a cosmetic renovation to a four story single family residence. The client’s primary concern was schedule as they needed to move into the residence only three weeks after purchasing the home. The scope Haycon executed included painting the entire house, refinishing the kitchen cabinets, refinishing and installing a runner on the stairs, replacing lighting fixtures and switches, replacing plumbing fixtures in the master bathroom, re-faceing the master bathroom vanity, installing wall paper at two bathrooms and changing all the door hardware.

Traditional Single Family

Located directly across from the Statehouse, this magnificent 6,350 square foot townhome restoration perfectly illustrates Haycon’s mastery in high end construction. Working closely with the design team over the course of a year and a half renovation project, 75 Hancock was stripped to the shell and completely transformed. The end result is a remarkable single family home which boasts incredible historic architectural detail while providing a luxurious space including the highest level of finishes, high-end appliances, and the addition of a residential elevator. Haycon appreciates the special attention to stringent preservation guidelines required when working in a historic district such as Beacon Hill. We also recognize the importance of proactive planning and communication with neighbors and neighborhood organizations such as the Beacon Hill Civic Association.

Bryant Back Bay Condominium

This renovation project entailed the interior customization of a luxu‍‍‍ry condominium in Boston’s Back Bay. Sweeping city views are the focal point of the living space which is defined by the newly constructed coffered ceiling. The design walks the line between contemporary and traditional, with the use of custom mill work and bright colors. A central lighting system and audio visual infrastructure add to the updated feel of the space. The contrast between the differing dark wood finishes and lighter colored wall and ceiling create points of emphasis throughout the home.
